Daniel Owusu, DrPH is a seasoned public health professional with over a decade of experience in epidemiology and infectious disease surveillance. Currently, he serves as a Regional Epidemiologist at the Global Influenza Branch, CDC, where he leads international surveillance evaluations and provides technical assistance to enhance public health emergency preparedness in West Africa.
An alumnus of the CDC Epidemic Intelligence Fellowship, Dr. Owusu has managed global health projects and conducted research that informs public health policy. He has authored or co-authored over 50 publications and collaborated with international partners to improve health outcomes. Committed to empowering health professionals worldwide, he focuses on developing evidence-based interventions and training programs. Dr. Owusu holds a DrPH in Epidemiology from East Tennessee State University and an MPhil in Public Health from the University of Cambridge.
